My OBGYN tried to remove mine on Monday (it's expired and the level of some hormone was very high - indicating menopause).

She said that IUDs usually come out with no problem. Well not mine. It hurt like HECK and is still in.

She prescribed something for me to take 2 days before we try again. If it still won't come out? Surgery. Which I don't really want as I've had several (4) abdominal surgeries as it is.

Anyone else have issues with the removal of an IUD?
