Women’s rights are also Newsom’s business. It’s been difficult to watch the Dems handing Trump a win on this along with immigration, migration funding, and the economy. Newsom and Seth Moulton (MA) are emerging as the voices of reason.

Did anyone ask the UPenn women’s team their opinion? When they were informed Thomas would be joining, and subsequently taking a woman’s slot/scholarship, the teammates had no choice but to go along with it; otherwise, they knew their concerns would have been dismissed and labeled transphobic.
Did anyone ask Wisconsin’s women prisoners if they are comfortable sharing cells with men? Half of the incarcerated trans women recently transferred to WI’s only women's prison are sex offenders. These men can demand female staff for their pat-downs, and are entitled to shower in the same facility as the women. Why is their safety not a concern? There are numerous reports of women prisoners being raped by males gaming the system. Imagine having the government force you to live in a cell with a violent male rapist.
From rape of women inmates to forcing everyone, including guards and politicians, to indulge gender dysphoria, these men have an enormous amount of power. The women athletes and prisoners have none. It’s the same old power dynamic.
No one is going to look back on this era and say, “Housing male sex offenders in women’s prisons was a smart decision.” No one except the male sex offenders.
