We are considering buying again because rentals are so sparse. We could afford to buy. Not sure how much difference it will make in our taxes given that M is a senior and the standard deduction is so high now. I am pretty sure our financial planner will warn against it. But it couldn't help to discuss it.
My husband has a disability, so we need a one-story. We do NOT want to leave our neighborhood, which we absolutely love. We are good aging in place here until I retire and we can move to Sonoma Co, we hope. I do not expect home prices to go down any time soon, so I need to talk with her.
