car and it was mailed May 8th. It hadn't gotten there by the 22nd, so I contacted the MVA and they told me it had been returned as undeliverable. No idea why, our address has been the same for years. They didn't send it out again until May 29th and now we're waiting again.
I should have just gone down there my damned self and done it in person, but I figured this was easier. Now I'm out $20 and will probably go tomorrow or Friday and get it anyway. And all of this could have been avoided...my husband decided to give his old car to his sister, who also has the same kind of car, to see if they could basically scavenge it for parts (and the parts were basically the brand new tires we'd put on it less than 6 months before). We all signed the title, and now she's all "Oh I don't know if we'll keep it, we may just have it junked" and she probably doesn't want to have to go register it just to do that. We should have just donated the damned thing or tried to sell it for parts.
We're seeing them on Saturday and I just want the damned thing completely gone from us, either donated or kept or whatever they want to do, I don't care any more.
