I will say that I do feel it was ignorance. She was always nice to me (well, I was asst mgr so her boss) and when she got fired, I was the only one she hugged before she left. She had an abusive marriage. She showed me pictures where she was 300 pounds. She said her husband used to go to work and had deadbolts on both doors that required a key--even inside. She said, sometimes that would run out of food and the kids had to pull her out the window. They had to go to the neighbor to ask for bread, peanut butter and jelly. Anywho, she finally divorced him and then dropped 150 pounds. She looked amazing, a little too much make-up though. We worked at a cellular store and I remember that each time she called our support line she would go: Hi. This is Faith. F-A-I-T-H. I think it's because some people thought she said Faye. I haven't thought about that in like 25 years 😅
