see it that way (or I'm assuming she didn't since she made the comment). We also get talks about what's inappropriate to bring up in conversation and we're strongly encouraged to shut down or redirect any talk from customers that would be controversial (which wasn't easy last fall...we had customers on both sides of the political spectrum that felt very strongly about their candidate and the opponent).
OTOH, like so many of us, S hasn't been happy at the workplace and stated outright to me that she'd be glad to be fired. She's not the type to deliberately do something to get fired but she's also at the point where if our store manager (who's never gotten along well with S...and TBH, that's a little on both of them) fired her, S would be perfectly fine with it, so she might not be as concerned about the rules as she once was.
