i don't want to sound all doom and gloom, but this is an issue that's been happening for a good long while now.

this is all starting to feel perfectly purposeful - keep the boards open for the regular users, eliminate any new users and those who don't actively participate by logging in/posting.

i think this is saying the bad part out loud, right?
