and corn syrup, with, I think, a little butter and vanilla extract. I've seen recipes substituting pretzels for the pecans; while that's a good idea if someone has a nut allergy, it doesn't take away the crunchiness problem.

I would love to try Mississippi Mud pie! Chocolate chess pie is delightful as well. Basically, I'm all about the non-fruit pies <g>.
