I do like Alicia Keys’ music. She grew up in Hell’s Kitchen which, as you probably know, is just west of Manhattan’s Broadway theatre district. This show has won a lot of awards both Tonys and several Off-Broadway awards (It started at the Public Theater downtown). It can be harder to get discounted tix once a show wins so many awards. So I feel lucky. It helps that I can easily go on a weekday night. It sounds like it will be a fun evening.
