Starting with some non-fiction, I read Poverty, by America-athought provoking book about why despite all of America's wealth, we have only made fits and starts about solving the problem. It's a fairly short book-200 plus pages although some listings show it as much longer because of all the footnotes following the body.

I'm a mystery lover and read three so far...only two of which I'll mention. First was Havoc by Christopher Bollen. It's about an 81 year widow who spends her later years being a busybody and breaking up marriages she deems unsuitable. She meets her match in a young boy who's the son of a woman separated from her husband. Quite an explosive ending, and if anyone reads this/or has I'd like your thoughts on it. I'm not sure what happened.

The second one I just finished-What the Wife Knew by Darby Kane. This one is about a woman who's trying to kill her husband but someone else beat her to it. She's immediately a suspect and has to figure out who really did it and also expose her husband's sordid past. He was a revered physician and also saved a school from a mass shooting. Lots of twists and turns and think I'll try another of her books.
