I still think it is very possible that Ava and Ric are working together to scam Sidwell and take him down. Her motivation is she doesn't like him insisting she share him with Lucy... and to protect Avery from his bad influence in town... and to protect Lucas... and Ric's being to protect Sonny. Now if they are both able to scam some money off him at the same time... all the better!
