never let him forget about. yes his alcoholism was his disease but that isn't why he was weak. he showed actual strength for all times that he got sober and stayed sober
my original point was that he was treated badly by the Qs years before guza started in on him and made him lose to sonny, jason and carly. he was written to lose to ned, to jason q
you seem to want to heap all the blame on AJ when his family was a piss poor support system who clearly favored Jason as the golden child and AJ as the black sheep. The only people who didn’t treat him that way were Jason and Lila and to an extent Monica. Alan, Edward, Tracy and Ned tore AJ down often while praising Jason and that contributed to his drinking.
i blame the Qs for how badly they acted but after aj got into multiple indicidents of dui's and screw-ups due to his drinking or not, it wasn't entertaining to watch
