He knows how much Bobbie and Luke meant to each other. Luke raised Bobbie. That is reason enough to have been there. He could have ended with a toast to both of them.

Plus, I've gone to funerals/celebration of life gatherings for friends or co-workers for deaths of people I never even met. I did it to be supportive during their grief. Lulu is his first cousin. Show up for her because she was missing her dad and is finally saying goodbye.
