I think it would be easy for the writers to say she faked her death because she didn't want to deal with everyone she knew watching her die a slow death.
Her mother found an experimental treatment and she's back. Realistic -- of course not. Traditional soap. absolutely!
There is no one on the show now that I can see Jason with so it makes sense to bring Britt back. I just hope they have a good story for them as a couple as well as integrating Britt back into the show as well. While romance is at the center of soaps, a character needs more to their story than putting them together.
I hate it when a couple finally gets together and the male is involved in a lot of storylines, while the female only has scenes with her romantic partner. And if she happens to have scenes with somebody else, all they do is talk ABOUT her love interest.
Britt is a strong character so there is a lot more to her and story potential han just being Jason's romantic partner.
