the younger generations because they abbreviate EVERYTHING. So I ask my nephew who is 20 or I google it LOL.
My loan officer is like 25/26 and when I bought my town house I expressed how appreciative I was that he always got back to me quickly and explained things in great detail. I was a first time buyer and had a ton of questions. I told him I was nervous about my first purchase and wanted to make sure I understood everything. When I finished thanking him he goes:
Say less Antwon. Say less.
I thought he was telling me that I was talking too much. So there was a 5 second pause and then I'm like sorry. He said sorry for what? I said you just told me say less, I know I can be kinda long-winded.
He started cracking up and explained to me that Say less” is slang for “I understand” or “I get the gist of what you are saying.” You can also use it when you agree with someone and see eye to eye with them.
How the hell would I get that from those two words?🤦🏾♂️
