I could totally see it being the case as a way for them to self-promote the show

and/or project. You absolutely have to have a thick skin, but there is still no excuse for the wall of hate some of them receive. I remember that being the case for the actor who played Peter and the actress that played Esme got some hate because her White character drugged and frame Trina, a Black character. I think the problem is too many people can't separate the fact that this is just a show and Avery (Esme) is simply doing her job based on the script.

I still remember years ago here on SZ people were referring to NLG (Alexis) as the old hag. Sure some were talking about Alexis but I remember a board war started when some started referring to NLG as a hag.

You all know that I wouldn't spit on Carly if she were on fire and I have called her a bitch many times, but I really like Laura Wright and have since she was on Loving. She too has received a lot of hate on Twitter. And then there was the Bryan Craig (Morgan) incident where his family got into it with Twitter troll. I believe it was his mom and Bryan responded by telling the guy he would find him and break his $%^&*( fingers.

If I were an actor, I would post occasionally like you said but then either avoid the comments or cruise on by negativity/hate.

I know some here watch 9-1-1 or at least heard of the show? A few years ago Ryan Guzman (Eddie) got into a huge fight on IG with fans. I follow him so I saw it happen live. Someone dug up some racist stuff his wife posted years ago. I don't think she posted the N word but she liked a bunch of stuff and had negative things to say about BLM and minimized all the attention against racial injustice etc. Ryan was like she as like 19-21 when this happened. It's not who she is blah blah blah. You're taking that out of context and fans were NOT having it. They let him have it in the comments and Ryan lost it live. He used profanity and raised his voice. They really pushed his buttons. So then he abruptly ended the live chat and then hours late or maybe the next day he tried again and issued an apology and the trolls came for him again and guess what? He snapped a second time!

I was like dude. Just release a statement before you end up doing irrevocable damage to your acting career.
